A Welcome from the Chair of Governors - Christine Cushing

Welcome to Chandos and our website which hopefully provides you with a glimpse into what we do here at Chandos and a feeling of what the school is all about.

The primary consideration each and every day is for the education and welfare of the children who come to the school and whose parents put their trust in the Head Teacher and his staff to provide the education they wish for their children.

As Chair of the Governing body I have a duty to the Trustees of The Elliot Foundation Academy Trust, along with my fellow governors and the Head Teacher, to ensure that the school is run properly, that we hold the Head Teacher and his senior management team to account for the standard of teaching within the school, whilst at the same time making sure, which I am confident is the case, that Chandos is a happy school to be in.

If you as a parent reading this wish to speak to the Head teacher or one of his senior team before making a final decision as to whether to enrol your child with the school I know they would be delighted to answer any questions you may have.

If you do wish to contact me please put your reasons in writing, addressed to the school, or ask for my contact details at school.

One final comment is that the school has of course a complaints policy, although we all hope that the school is run so well that complaints are either non-existent or few. If however you have a complaint click here to go to the policy. This will explain the process. I assure you it will be taken seriously and dealt with properly and promptly.
